Then I went back to the ECS and was able to recreate the activesync virtual directory. I don't know why it worked the second time, but I'm happy. I tried again to delete the virtual directory using the command prompt:Ĭ:\inetpub\AdminScripts>cscript.exe adsutil.vbs delete w3svc/1/root/microsoft-server-activesync Not knowing it, I tried Get-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory, and it reported NOTHING. I tried it again without the -Identity part, and it asked me for the identity. First I tried stating the Identity:Ĭ:\Windows\system32>New-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory -Identity "\Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync"

The big key was to use ADSUTIL.vbs to delete the old virtual directories and then I could use ECS to recreate them.Īfter doing that, I did the same thing and was able to recreate the OAB virtual directory as well.
